The final countdown.
Today marks the beginning of my last week of school. It hasn’t hit me yet considering I still have 3 classes to attend, a paper to write, and a final exam to take, etc. But for the most part, it’s over and will be downhill from here on out. It will probably hit me next weekend when I can actually go to sleep at a normal time!
In precisely two weeks I will be done with school and moving into my apartment in Dallas. To say that “time flies” is a severe understatement. To be honest, I’m having mixed emotions about the move.
I’m extremely excited for our new adventure in Dallas and to start at Baylor, but also extremely sad to leave this chapter behind.
The summer class I’m taking has kept me quite busy the past month or so, which I’m thankful for because it’s distracted me from thinking too much about the move. Greg has been studying non-stop for his boards at the end of the month and we haven’t had nearly enough time to hit up all the spots on our “Arizona bucket list”. But who am I kidding, most of these places are restaurants so I guess this saves me money and calories? Trying to look at the glass half full!
I ordered myself a new camera last week to reward myself for finishing school. I haven’t had much time to learn all the new settings and features, but I’m excited to play around with it in the coming weeks. It arrived last Thursday and we quickly ran outside to test it out before the huge dust storm rolled in. It was the first major one of the season, I think I jinxed the weather with my fun in the sun post last week.
I’ve been getting a lot of questions from my classmates this summer about my stats and tips for applying to dietetic internships. It reminded me that I should probably do another info post on this. Anyone interested?
I look forward to the end of this week and being about to sleep again when school ends!
P.S. Happy anniversary to my darling yorkie!
Two years ago today I was bored on a Saturday morning and wandered over to Petsmart “just to look” at the dogs from the local animal rescue. He was the first dog I saw because he jumped out at me (which I now know not to take personally since he jumps on everyone). When I saw his name was Dexter (our favorite TV show) I knew it was meant to be. The rest is history!
